Sev Puri Chaaat Recipe | How to make Mumbai Sev Puri

Sev Puri also known as “Sev Batata Puri” is an Indian Street food snack where the layers of ingredients are assembled on a flat crisp called Papdi.

Ingredients

  • 11 Papdis
  • 1/2 cup Boiled Potatoes
  • 1/4 Cup Mint Chutney
  • 1/4 Cup Tamarind Mint Chutney
  • 1/4 Cup Chopped Tomatoes
  • Chaat Masala for sprinkling
  • Red Chilli Powder for sprinkling
  • Salt to taste
  • Sev for sprinkling
  • Pomegranate Seeds for Garnishing
  • Coriander Leaves for garnishing

Instructions

  • Just before serving arrange papdis in a serving plate.
  • Top each papdi with boiled potatoe.
  • Drizzle green chutney . Add chopped tomatoes, chopped onion.
  • Sprinkle Chaat Masala, Red chilli powder, Salt.
  • Drizzle Tamarind Chutney.
  • Sprinkle 1/4 cup sev , Garnish with Pomegranate Seeds and Coriander Leaves.

  • Sev puri chaat is ready for serving. Serve it immediately to get the crispy taste of puri and sev with chutneys. Assemble it at the time of serving because it will turn soggy within few minutes.

Notes

Serving Ideas: Serve this sev batata puri by itself as an afternoon snack. You can also serve this in kid’s birthday party. Prepare all ingredients in advance and then keep them in individual bowls. At the time of serving, assemble it and serve.
