Makhan Mishri - Janamashtmi Special

Different delicacies are made to celebrate the birth of Lord Krishna but the celebration is incomplete without his favourite food Makhan Misri.

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup fresh Cream / fresh Malai
  • 2 tsp Misri / Crystallized Sugar

Instructions

  • Collect cream from the top of the milk for a couple of days and you will be able to gather a cup of fresh milk cream.
  • You can also use store-bought heavy cream. Take a cup of the cream and put it in a mixer. Churn it well till it becomes thick
  • Now, add in four to five tablespoons of cold water in it and churn it again. 
  • The butter and the whey will separate slowly. 
  • Collect the butter in a bowl and add in the misri 
  • Mix well and your makhan misri is ready
  • You can keep this as an offering to the deity and then distribute among the devotees, friends and family.
