Take 2 tbsp Desi Ghee in a pan and heat. Add the dal and fry on medium flame till its crispy and golden brown.
Take out in a bowl and let it cool for some time.
Grind into a fine powder.
Make sugar syrup with 1 cup sugar and 2 cups of water . When sugar melts add the grounded dal and cook on medium flame till it thickens and reaches the consistency of barfi.
Add chopped nuts and powdered green cardamom powder.
Add 2 tbsp Desi Ghee. If you want less ghee you can skip this.
Grease the tray or place a baking paper and pour the mixture to set.
Garnish it with dry fruits, Press slightly. Let it set completely.
Cut into desired shape and relish the Sumptuous Chana Dal Barfi.

Press or eat and check the dal if it is fried well or not.
Dal will crackel if its crispy
If you wish to use less ghee then do not add leftover ghee at the end in the sugar syrup.
Make sure you check the dal if it is crunchy.
When you add powdered Dal to the sugar syrup make sure you stir it continuously.
